Of course, we must draw Back to School inspiration from accessories!  Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, and Chloe, to name a few, are offering penny loafers and brogues this Autumn. Kate Spade's tongue-in-cheek Book of the Month clutch and Alexander Wang's spiral notebook clutches in luxe snake print and mock croc bring classroom chic. 

And what is back to school without a new schoolbag?  Mulberry's Alexa and Neely handbags are reminiscent of English schoolboy bags.  Cool girls around town, in their Annie Hall style, can be seen carrying vintage leather satchels.  Just about my favorite new discovery, The Cambridge Satchel Company, has English schoolboy satchels in bright colors and different sizes, and can be monogrammed!

So shine up your penny loafers and grab your satchel, and think of those carefree days.
