Days are flying and I'm behind with everything. I could blame my family, who's visiting from Denmark, but that would be unfair. It's so lovely to have them here in LA. Last weekend we went to Yosemite National Park - one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! On our way back to LA we stopped by San Francisco and I finally got to see The Golden Gate Bridge. In only a month my parents will be visiting and we're planning a roadtrip to Grand Canyon. Awesome.

Like most other girls I'm a huge fan of Chanel's nail colours. Season after season they create the most coveted colors and right now it's all about April, May and June. One for each month - how cute is that. And they're all just as appetizing as sorbet. Yummie.

Aquarius dress

VILA WISH LIST: AQUARIUS DRESS

VILA's Aquarius dress is poetic and romantic- a definite must-have for Spring.  The print look like wild and tempestuous waves, crashing against a cliff, quite unlike the welcoming warmth of a tropical beach. No, I am reminded of the beach in Spring- the water and the wind so cold and strong, part of me is eager to be a part of it, a part of me wants to shield myself from the elements.  I would still venture down to the beach, wearing the Aquarius dress, but I would also wrap a warm, cozy sweater to protect and comfort me.

Weather permitting, I think strappy sandals or slouchy boots would be perfect- a great cool spring day outfit.

Here's a few dramatic images that came to mind when I first saw the Aquarius dress: to the right, the 18th Century Japanese painting by Hokusai, The Great Wave off Kanagawa; to the left, a rocky beach at Faro Island, the remote island where famed director, Ingmar Bergman lived. The rocky, jagged and wild beaches can be seen is his films.

For me, this garment has been a basic in anyone´s closet for years, especially in spring and autumn time because of their lightness and comfort. They adjust to almost any outfit and they´re great whatever colour they are, though this season pastel colours are the hit also for blazers. As you can see in my pictures, I like to wear them with patterned blouses. I´m wearing it with one of my favourite blouses by Vila.
