Just a little post to get us in the holiday spirit!
Fashion designers, Betsey Johnson and Alber Elbaz of Lanvin
designed Christmas trees for The Plaza Hotel in New York and
Claridge's Hotel in London, respectively. Betsey Johnson's designed
an Eloise-themed Christmas tree. One of my favorite
storybooks as a child, Eloise, was a precocious little girl, who
lived in the Plaza Hotel with her nanny, pet dog and turtle.
The tree is bright pink and decorated with paper dolls, feather
boas, and paper chains. The tree compliments the Eloise
suite, which Ms. Johnson also designed. At the top of the
tree sits an Eloise doll, in a Betsey Johnson prom dress.
Across the pond, Alber Elbaz designed a Lanvin-themed Christmas
tree for Claridge's with the "Lanvin family" sitting underneath the
tree. Sitting on top of Claridge's tree? An adorable Alber Elbaz
doll. This isn't Mr. Elbaz's first run in creating Christmas
cheer- last year, he designed Printemps holiday windows, complete
with dancing Mr. and Mrs. Lanvin marionettes! I think what I
love most about these Christmas trees are the whimsy and
playfulness- I feel like a little kid, just looking at them! Click here
